Optical Illusion

This picture creates a pretty neat optical illusion. With the way the sun was shining that day, it hid the bottoms of the tree and created an effect of the tree-tops growing out of the building. This shot was taken on UVA grounds.

Drive into Oblivion

Funny Pic of some deviant art. Someone wrote "Drive into Oblivion..." on a left turn street sign near downtown on Water Street. I thought it was a pretty good subject for a post... Drive into Oblivion.

Not Charlottesville

I took this shot the other day when my girlfriend and I were wandering about the grounds at UVA. The students have mostly left for the summer--especially the undergrads, so the time is perfect for exploring UVA grounds unimpeded. I caught sight of this shot and immediately thought that this does not look like Charlottesville at all. For some reason this angle on this particular corner of C-ville seems so almost European. I don't know. I really dig this shot and how it, for a moment, transported me to a different place.

Super premium

These are the "crown jewels" of my new job. These can only be described as "Super Premium" libations. From left to right: Johnny Walker Blue Label King George V, a 1976 bottle of Chateau Laffite-Rothschild Bordeaux, Hennessy Richard 200 yr. old Cognac, a 1983 Chateau Margaux, Don Julio's "Real" (the best tequila in the world), and Hennessy Paradis 130 yr. old Cognac. Anyone want a drink? Cheers!

Memorial Day

I caught a pretty sweet sunset on Monday night from my friend Ryan's house. It was a beautiful, appropriate end to a super fun Memorial Day Party. Thankfully I was still sober enough to catch it!

A Bright Path Ahead

This is another shot from my walk on the Rivanna Trail the other day. This shot being from the beginning of the trip when the sun was still high. This shot provides a pretty sweet contrast to the shot I posted on Sunday: "A Dark Path Ahead." Though, I think I like that shot a bit better.

Lexis Nexis

This is sweet nighttime shot of the Lexis Nexis building behind the pavilion downtown. I propped my camera onto a guard rail on the belmont bridge and over-exposed this picture as two cars went by--creating the cool light streaks. How Sci-fi!

A Dark Path Ahead

I took this shot at the end of my walk on the Rivanna Trail tonight. There was barely enough light to walk by, and I thought this made for a pretty sweet shot of my pathway into Darkness.

The Coal Tower

This is just a cool shot of the coal tower in Belmont in front of a cloudy sky. Unfortunately the picture does not convey how fast those clouds were moving that day, but that's ok. I still like the contrasting green and blue in this shot around the coal tower. Cheers.
